The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced on its Facebook page the previous night that "all passenger flights to and from the Philippines will be temporarily suspended starting from 8 a.m. on the 3rd," adding that "the Philippine government made this decision to prevent the spread of COVID-19."
