The U.S. Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour will resume the 2020 season in July and conduct COVID-19 testing at every event. Commissioner Mike Whan stated, "We have notified players about COVID-19 testing" and "are currently developing detailed implementation plans." He explained, "We aim to create a safe environment not only for players but also for caddies, golf course staff, volunteers, and local residents where the tournaments are held."

Currently, preparations are underway for the opening of the Dow Great Lakes Bay event on July 15. Commissioner Whan said, "We plan to make a final decision on gallery attendance and the holding of pro-am events 45 days prior," adding, "We welcome the opportunity to learn from the PGA Tour, which is larger than us and will resume its tour a month earlier." If scheduled as planned, the tour will consist of 21 tournaments with a total prize money of $56 million (68.26 billion KRW) through the end of the year.
