Vice Minister Lee congratulated Prime Minister Boris Johnson on his recovery from COVID-19 and return to work, expressing hope that cooperation between the two countries would contribute to the UK's COVID-19 response.
In response, Minister Adams highly praised South Korea for successfully responding to the spread of COVID-19 and becoming a model for the international community, and requested South Korea's active participation in essential efforts such as vaccine development to resolve the COVID-19 situation.
Furthermore, Vice Minister Lee emphasized that necessary cooperation must continue despite COVID-19 and proposed holding the Korea-UK Vice Ministerial Senior Economic Dialogue in person or via video conference in the near future.
