Exposure Incident During High School Online Class... Police Investigation Underway
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] A man unlawfully accessed a high school online class and exposed his private parts, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education on the 28th, on the 22nd, during an online class for first-year students at a high school in Gwangju, an unidentified man accessed the session and exposed a specific part of his body.
At the time, the teacher and students were conducting a two-way online class through real-time video connection.
It is understood that the man exploited the feature where the image of a student who asks a question is enlarged on the screen. After attendance was taken, he requested to speak by saying he had a question and then exposed himself.
The teacher conducting the class immediately ended the remote lecture program and stopped the class upon confirming the exposure.
The school suspended video classes on the 23rd and 24th before resuming them, and the Metropolitan Office of Education requested a police investigation.
According to the Office of Education, it was confirmed that a current student at the school shared the internet address, ID, and password that allowed access to the online class in a group chat room.
The police are tracking access records to identify the man's identity and whereabouts.
