On the 27th, 20 young party members, including candidate Cheon Ha-ram who ran in the Jeonnam Suncheon·Gwangyang·Gokseong·Gurye Gap district, held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office and announced, "We have formed a Youth Emergency Response Committee for the reconstruction of the conservative party."
They stated, "We demand that more than 50% of the young party members under the age of 45 be assigned to the upcoming United Future Party Emergency Response Committee," adding, "Youth Emergency Response Committee members will be decided within the 'Youth Emergency Response Committee.'"
They continued, "There will no longer be any selection of emergency response committee members by lining up with vested interests within the United Future Party," and criticized, "Stop the fight that is being ignored by the public. The party is still showing disgraceful behavior by fighting over vested interests even after the general election defeat."
Candidate Cheon told reporters, "I hope the Emergency Response Committee will no longer be a place that produces 'someone's kids,' but will function as a channel to properly convey the collective will of the youth."
