Post Office Shopping 'Let's Overcome COVID-19'... Up to 40% Discount
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] The Korea Post, under the Ministry of Science and ICT, is collaborating with 36 organizations including local governments and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to hold a special exhibition titled "Together! Cheer Up Korea" on Post Office Shopping to support farmers, fishermen, and small business owners struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This special exhibition will be held for 19 days from the 27th of this month until the 15th of next month. The Korea Post will offer discounts of up to 40% on about 17,000 items including local specialties and gifts for Family Month. Shiitake mushrooms (original price 70,000 KRW) are sold at a 30% discount for 49,000 KRW, and 5kg of apples (original price 40,000 KRW) are sold for 28,000 KRW. Especially, an eco-friendly seasonal vegetable bundle consisting of spinach, cucumber, and zucchini (original price 16,500 KRW) is offered at 14,900 KRW. During the special exhibition period, various promotions such as limited-time special prices and prize giveaways will also be conducted.
Park Jong-seok, head of the Korea Post, said, "We hope the Post Office Shopping special exhibition will provide some help to farmers, fishermen, and small business owners who are struggling due to the impact of COVID-19," and added, "We hope this will serve as an opportunity to revitalize the local economy through active participation and cooperation from many citizens."
