It is not your fault. There will be a time when you will be used more greatly."
On the 19th, Mayor Park posted on his Facebook under the title "We must not forget the hearts and dreams of those who willingly jumped into difficult districts," expressing these words.
Mayor Park quoted Kim’s concession message, in which Kim said, "A farmer does not blame the field he goes to. A farmer must sweat and fertilize according to the land, but as a farmer, I did not fully understand the situation," and said, "Kim explained his defeat this way. However, no one thinks that Kim was insincere or unaware of the situation."
He continued, "We all know well that the land he stood on was not a well-cultivated field but wasteland," adding, "In this 21st general election, the Democratic Party achieved a great victory. However, behind this victory, there were many candidates who willingly ran in so-called difficult districts, prepared to accept defeat, and campaigners and volunteers who worked tirelessly for those candidates."
Mayor Park mentioned the names of candidates who ran in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, emphasizing, "Our party must remember each and every one of these individuals. This is why the elected officials must deeply cherish their dreams and passion in their hearts and work tirelessly day and night, and why they must humbly go beyond their constituencies to dedicate themselves to creating a better world."
He added, "In the fierce crises that lie ahead, we must truly win," and said, "That is the way to prove that the victory given by the people and the trust they sent was right."
