Memorandum of Understanding Signed for Business Cooperation with Director of National Medical Center on the 17th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will hold a video conference with female foreign ministers from major countries regarding the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Kim In-cheol, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at the regular briefing on the 16th, "Minister Kang is scheduled to hold a video conference this afternoon with female foreign ministers from major countries on the theme of 'COVID-19 and Women,'" adding, "She plans to emphasize the role of women in overcoming COVID-19 and the importance of solidarity and cooperation in the international community."
The video conference with female foreign ministers from major countries is known to include Minister Kang and foreign ministers from about 7 to 8 countries such as Spain, Sweden, and Australia.
Additionally, on the 17th, Minister Kang is scheduled to sign a memorandum of understanding related to cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Medical Center with Jeong Ki-hyun, director of the National Medical Center, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building in Seoul.
Spokesperson Kim said, "Through this memorandum of understanding, a cooperative system between the two institutions will be established, and based on this, various cooperation such as information sharing between both sides is expected to be strengthened."
