Lee Cheong-ah said, "As I entered my 30s, I like my current face better," adding, "These days, when I'm tired, my face looks sunken and my double eyelids look like three or four layers." She continued, "I worry, thinking 'There are so many good technologies in the world,' but I try not to forget that the before is more beautiful."
She went on, "In my opinion, my facial features are not large," and revealed, "When I was young, the more makeup I wore, the more I felt like I was wearing a mask."
Lee Cheong-ah also shared her experience of minimizing makeup in a drama. She explained, "The role I played at the time was the head of a drama production company. The writer described the character as 'a strong juniper tree that has withstood the wind well.' I thought, would such a woman really wear beautiful makeup from the morning?"
