[21st General Election] Voter Turnout at 3 PM 56.5%... Jeonnam Highest Nationwide at 60.8% (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The National Election Commission announced on the 15th at 3 PM that the voter turnout for the 21st general election stands at 56.5%. This turnout is the highest recorded at this time slot since the hourly turnout tracking began and is 10.0 percentage points higher than the turnout at the same time during the 20th general election.

By region, Jeonnam and Jeonbuk had the highest turnout rates at 60.8% and 60.1%, respectively. They were followed by Sejong (59.3%), Gangwon (58.8%), Gyeongnam (58.5%), Gyeongbuk (58.4%), Ulsan (57.9%), Gwangju (57.7%), and Seoul (57.4%).
