Jeonbuk Province Announces Theme Proposal Contest for Citizens and Public Officials to Overcome COVID-19 Starting from the 16th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 13th that it will promote the '2020 Citizen and Public Official Theme Proposal Contest' from the 16th of this month to the 29th of next month to prepare innovative policies through overcoming and responding to COVID-19 damage.
Previously, citizen and public official theme proposals were promoted separately, but this time, considering the timeliness and importance of COVID-19, the themes for citizens and public officials will be unified and promoted.
To revitalize the local economy through overcoming COVID-19 damage, resolve inconveniences in daily life, and prepare innovative policies due to paradigm shifts, theme proposals will be solicited in various fields such as jobs, economy, agriculture·rural·marine, tourism, health and welfare, and safety.
Citizens and public officials who wish to participate in the contest can apply online through the National Sinmungo and by mail, and anyone interested in Jeonbuk Province’s administration can participate.
Ideas submitted through the contest will undergo practical and final evaluations, and the Contest Proposal Evaluation Committee will make the final decision on outstanding ideas and their rankings.
In the final evaluation, 10% will be reflected from the online policy preference survey and 90% from the offline evaluation.
The province plans to select 6 people in the citizen category and 8 people in the public official category through the final selection by the contest evaluation committee around July.
The prize money for the citizen category is 1.5 million won for the gold prize, 1.2 million won for the silver prize, and 700,000 won for the bronze prize, while for the public official category, it is 1 million won for the gold prize, 800,000 won for the silver prize, and 400,000 won for the bronze prize.
