Kakao AI Home Training App Expands Service to Three Major Telecom Operators
Exercise Program Implementation More Than Doubled Due to COVID-19 Impact
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Kakao VX announced on the 13th that it will expand the 'Smart Home Training by Kakao VX (hereinafter Smart Home Training)' application service to the three major telecom companies SKT, KT, and LGU+.
Smart Home Training is a home training app that combines a systematic fitness curriculum with artificial intelligence (AI) coaching. Since its launch in October last year, it has been available to LGU+ 5G users. Reflecting market demand, the service has now been expanded to users of the three major telecom companies.
The Smart Home Training app provides users with real-time movement analysis based on joint extraction and coaching that compares their posture with that of professional trainers. In particular, through popular programs such as "Outside is Dangerous! Immunity UP Stretching" and "10-Minute Quick Diet Dance," it has established itself as a leading app in the untact era.
With the recent spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) leading to an increase in home training enthusiasts, the number of exercise program executions through the Smart Home Training app increased by 111% compared to January as of last month, and the monthly active users (MAU) increased by 38% compared to January.
