According to the police and fire authorities, A (63), who was inside the house, suffered second-degree burns on the face due to the fire.
Also, three of A's grandchildren were hospitalized after inhaling smoke. The three grandchildren are reported to have sustained minor injuries.
The fire burned the master bedroom and living room, causing property damage estimated at about 18 million won (according to the fire department), and was extinguished in about 30 minutes.
As a result of the fire, 66 residents were evacuated.
