Sogongyeon: "Baemin Commission Revision Plan Canceled, Justice Prevails"
The Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as KFME) evaluated the apology issued by Woowa Brothers, signed by Chairman Kim Bong-jin and CEO Kim Beom-jun, and the complete withdrawal of the commission reform plan on the 10th as a "just outcome."
In a statement released that day, KFME said, "We understand that Baedal Minjok accepted the numerous concerns raised by the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises and others, which resonated with many media outlets and especially consumers. We hope this serves as an opportunity to appreciate the meaning of 'sapilgwijeong'?that all things inevitably return to what is right."
Furthermore, KFME urged, "We call on Baedal Minjok to humbly accept the complaints and issues raised by micro-enterprises during this process and to engage in sincere consultations with related organizations, including the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises, as well as actual Baedal Minjok users, to rationally reform the commission decision system and pricing structure." KFME also emphasized, "Consultations led unilaterally by Baedal Minjok involving only some Baemin users risk being mere formalities or face-saving measures; therefore, Baedal Minjok must demonstrate sincerity in forming a genuine consultative body."

KFME added, "In the offline sector, even a slight increase in the price of daily necessities triggers investigations by the Fair Trade Commission and others. Considering that such measures have been absent in the online sector, we expect the government and especially the newly formed 21st National Assembly to make efforts to establish legal and institutional measures, such as the 'Online Commercial Fairness Act' advocated by the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises, to rectify the online ecosystem."
