Minsaengdang: "The Deobureo Simindang Doesn't Even Know Its Own Party Name... Let's Judge the Trick Satellite Parties"
"Even Japan's Prime Minister Abe Would Laugh... Is He a Comedian?"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 9th, the Minsaengdang criticized the spokespersons of the Deobureo Simindang, a satellite party for proportional representation of the Democratic Party of Korea, for issuing a spokesperson's commentary under the name 'Democratic Party' and then correcting it, calling them “spokespersons of Simindang who don't even know their own party name properly” and asking, “Are they comedians?”
Kim Jeong-hoon, spokesperson for the Minsaengdang Election Countermeasures Committee, said in a commentary that day, “Even Japanese Prime Minister Abe, who cannot distinguish between multiple rocket launchers and missiles, would laugh at this, and it is a political farce that will go down in history.”
Spokesperson Kim pointed out, “In an election to choose lawmakers who will represent the people's will and work for four years, voters are forced to cast 'blind votes' without knowing the candidates, policy pledges, or even the party names,” adding, “This is because the two major parties, the Democratic Party and the United Future Party, have cleverly exploited institutional loopholes to create satellite parties exclusively for proportional representation, which runs counter to the original purpose of introducing the semi-proportional representation system.”
