Peugeot 208 and 2008 SUV Simultaneously Win Red Dot Design Award for Product Design
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Peugeot announced on the 3rd that the compact hatchback New Peugeot 208 and the compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) New Peugeot 2008 SUV simultaneously won the Product Design Award at the 2020 Red Dot Design Award.
The New Peugeot 208 and New Peugeot 2008 SUV received the Product Design Award this year in the 'Transportation Design (Cars and Motorcycles)' category. With this, Peugeot has been honored with its sixth design award since the RCZ in 2010, followed by the 308 SW (2014), Traveller (2016), 508 SW (2019), and 3008 SUV (2017).
The judging panel highly praised the New Peugeot 208's innovative i-Cockpit interior and sporty exterior style. The ergonomically designed i-Cockpit interior, digital 3D instrument panel, compact double flat-shaped steering wheel, and 10-inch touchscreen attracted attention.
In the New Peugeot 2008 SUV, the front LED daytime running lights shaped like a lion's fangs captivated the judges. The triangular character lines positioned identically at the front and rear, the rear lamps shaped like a lion's claws, the surrounding black panel, ambient lighting, Alcantara, and the extensive application of premium materials and options also received high design evaluations.
