KOSPI Recovers to 1750 Level... KOSDAQ Rises by 5%
[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] On the 31st, the KOSPI recovered to the 1750 level.
On that day, the KOSPI closed at 1754.64, up 37.52 points (2.19%) from the previous trading day.
The KOSPI started at 1739.29, up 22.17 points (1.29%) from the previous close, and continued its upward trend.
In the securities market, individuals net purchased 387.3 billion KRW. On the other hand, foreigners and institutions net sold 72.9 billion KRW and 291.2 billion KRW, respectively.
By industry, pharmaceuticals (12.24%), construction (6.13%), non-metallic minerals (2.97%), and food and beverages (3.54%) rose. Electric and electronics (0.24%) slightly declined.
Among the top 10 companies by market capitalization, Celltrion (23.78%), NAVER (4.62%), LG Chem (0.66%), and Hyundai Motor (3.86%) rose. Conversely, Samsung Electronics (0.21%) and SK Hynix (0.48%) were on a downward trend.
The KOSDAQ also closed at 569.07, up 26.96 points (4.97%) compared to the previous close.
The KOSDAQ opened at 551.48, up 9.37 points (1.73%) from the previous trading day, and expanded its gains.
In the KOSDAQ market, individuals net purchased 188.1 billion KRW, while foreigners and institutions net sold 99.7 billion KRW and 76.2 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, metals (4.09%), computer services (6.99%), and paper and wood (3.32%) rose.
