[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeon Seong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 30th that it is making every effort to block community transmission due to the nationwide spread of COVID-19.
While promoting high-intensity social distancing, the county has imposed usage restrictions on 375 high-risk facilities including religious facilities, sports facilities, entertainment venues, and youth facilities within the jurisdiction until the 5th of next month.
In addition, to prevent the spread of infectious diseases from outside, a joint team of county officials and police is conducting fever checks with 40 personnel daily at five major roads.
The fever check locations are sections of National Road 77 (Yeomsan Sin-o Village), Baeksu Coastal Road towards Yeonggwang CC, Baeksu Coastal Road (towards Baeksu Honggok-ri), the entrance to Bulgapsa Tourist Area, and the entrance to Yeonggwang Tollgate.
Fever checks are conducted using non-contact thermometers, and if a temperature of 37.5℃ or higher is detected, individuals are guided to the health center's screening clinic.
