Ministry of Education Secures 3.05 Million Small Health Masks for Use After School Reopening

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Ministry of Education announced on the 30th that it has prepared 3.05 million small-sized health masks for kindergarteners and 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students to be used in case of suspected or confirmed COVID-19 cases occurring at schools after the start of the semester (based on 2 masks per student).
It also announced plans to additionally secure 560,000 small-sized health masks to ensure the safety of students participating in emergency care.
Furthermore, medium and large-sized health masks will be stocked for elementary, middle, high, and special school students.

For all students and staff without any signs of health abnormalities, the plan is to distribute at least 2 cloth masks per person, and to this end, the Ministry of Education, together with metropolitan and provincial offices of education, plans to prepare at least 20.67 million masks.
