Guro-gu Allocates 21.9 Billion KRW Emergency Supplementary Budget for COVID-19 Response
For Regional Economic Recovery and Infection Spread Prevention... Finalized on the 31st through District Council Deliberation
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) will carry out an emergency supplementary budget totaling 21.9 billion KRW to respond to COVID-19.
On the 30th, Guro-gu announced that it prepared an additional supplementary budget to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections and support the recovery of the local economy, and submitted it to the district council on the 26th.
This supplementary budget includes ▲10.4 billion KRW for local economic stabilization and revitalization projects ▲6.5 billion KRW for supporting vulnerable groups ▲2.3 billion KRW for supporting affected industries such as small business owners ▲700 million KRW for infection prevention ▲2 billion KRW as contingency funds for disaster and calamity purposes.
Specifically, it includes 7.955 billion KRW for temporary child-rearing support, 5.852 billion KRW for temporary living expenses for low-income households, 2.2 billion KRW for emergency management stabilization funds for small and medium enterprises and small business owners, 1.12 billion KRW for COVID-19 related living expenses, 223 million KRW for issuing Guro Love Gift Certificates, and 700 million KRW for purchasing quarantine supplies such as masks and disinfectants.
The supplementary budget will be finalized through review and resolution by the district council on the 31st.
