North Korea's external propaganda outlet 'Meari' pointed out on the 29th in an article titled "Suspicious Eyes Gather on South Korean Prosecution's Investigation of the N번방 Incident," stating, "Recently, in South Korea, criminals have been actively promoting immoral acts targeting minors on the internet and committing sex crimes for profit, shocking society."
The so-called 'n번방' incident is a sex crime case where minors and others were forced to film sexually exploitative videos, which were then distributed and sold through Telegram. Recently, one of the ringleaders, 'Doctor' Jo Joo-bin (24), was arrested, revealing the reality of the crime and sparking public outrage.
The media further mocked South Korean prosecutors, who promised a thorough investigation, suggesting it is likely to be a "show investigation," and claimed, "Legal experts analyze that most of those who incited and actively participated in this immoral incident belong to far-right groups such as 'Ilbe' (Ilgan Best), which supports the United Future Party, and thus the prosecution cannot take active measures."
