[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Hampyeong County Council announced on the 29th that Heo Jeong-im, Acting Chairperson (Vice Chairperson) of the Jeonnam Hampyeong County Council, has joined the wave of 'COVID-19' salary returns.
Amid the ongoing wave of public officials returning '30% of their salaries' to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, this is the first case among vice chairpersons nationwide.
Acting Chairperson Heo returned the full salary for March (2.5 million won).
Heo entered the 8th Hampyeong County Council as a proportional representative of the Democratic Party of Korea in the June 13 local elections.
