[Breaking] One COVID-19 Death Among 90s Patient at Gunpo Hyosarang Nursing Home
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] One resident of Hyosarang Nursing Home in Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi Province, where a cluster infection of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) occurred, has died.
According to Gunpo City and the bereaved family on the 27th, a 95-year-old female resident who was confirmed positive the day before and was undergoing isolation treatment at Gyeonggi Medical Center Suwon Hospital died at 3:40 PM on the same day. The cause of death is reported to be COVID-19.
Hyosarang Nursing Home (33 residents, 21 staff) saw the number of confirmed cases increase to a total of 20 (15 residents, 5 staff) over 8 days after one resident was confirmed positive on the 19th. Among them, the first confirmed case, an 85-year-old woman, died of pneumonia on the 22nd while receiving inpatient treatment at Myongji Hospital in Goyang.
