[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Two additional deaths from COVID-19 were reported in Gyeongbuk, raising the total number of domestic deaths to 133.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 26th, an 83-year-old female COVID-19 patient who was hospitalized at Andong Medical Center died at 9:26 a.m. that day. She had been admitted to Seoyoyang Nursing Hospital in Gyeongsan in January and tested positive in a diagnostic test on the 24th, after which she was transferred to Andong Medical Center. She had underlying conditions including dementia and diabetes.

At 9:51 a.m. the same day, an 86-year-old male patient at Andong Medical Center passed away. He had been living at Pureun Nursing Home since October last year and showed a fever of 37.8 degrees Celsius on the 12th. Two days later, after a COVID-19 specimen test, he was transferred to Andong Hospital. After being confirmed positive, he was moved to Andong Medical Center. This patient had underlying conditions including hypertension, heart disease, and prostate cancer.
