Ministry of Legislation Holds Video Conference with City and Provincial Legal Cooperation Officers to Support COVID-19 Overcoming Efforts

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] On the 26th, the Ministry of Government Legislation announced that it discussed 'measures to strengthen legal cooperation between the Ministry of Government Legislation and local governments to support overcoming the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19)'.
At the video conference held at the Government Complex Sejong on the same day, legal cooperation officers dispatched by the Ministry of Government Legislation to 13 cities and provinces including Gyeonggi, Incheon, and Gangwon, as well as the head of the Local Autonomy Regulations Division of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, participated.
During the meeting, measures for the Ministry of Government Legislation to support local governments, such as operating the Local Legislation Consultation 119 to promptly resolve social and economic issues caused by COVID-19, were discussed.
There was also a request for the proactive role of the legal cooperation officers dispatched to the 13 cities and provinces.
The legal cooperation officers attending the meeting reviewed financial support measures and related ordinances for small business owners experiencing economic difficulties due to COVID-19.
They also stated that they are establishing a collaborative system with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Ministry of Government Legislation to ensure rapid nationwide support.
