Porsche Korea Donates 649 Million Won to Green Umbrella Children's Foundation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Porsche Korea announced on the 26th that it has signed a business agreement with the social welfare corporation Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and donated 649 million KRW to expand the social contribution campaign ‘Porsche Do Dream’.
Holger Gehrmann, CEO of Porsche Korea, said, "As a responsible company, social contribution activities are always one of the most important business tasks," adding, "Porsche Korea has been striving to create an environment where Korean children can nurture their dreams through the Do Dream campaign over the past four years."
Porsche Korea launched the ‘Porsche Do Dream’ campaign in 2017 and has been conducting social contribution activities. In 2017, it supported two indoor gymnasiums and provided scholarships totaling 200 million KRW to 10 children talented in arts and physical education. In 2018, the budget was increased to 300 million KRW to maintain and expand the project, and last year, 649 million KRW was allocated for new programs, continuously expanding the social contribution campaign budget. A total of 1.149 billion KRW has been donated to the Do Dream campaign.
Starting this year, Porsche Korea plans to expand new programs linked to the brand’s sustainability values, such as carbon neutrality and resource circulation. A new program called ‘Porsche Dream Circle’ will be introduced, which reduces energy costs in low-income areas by producing renewable energy through solar panels and forest environment creation.
