Jangseong-gun Launches 'Social Distancing' Campaign at Multi-use Facilities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Gil-su] On the 24th, Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 25th that Jangseong County Governor Yoo Doo-seok, public officials, and members of social organizations conducted a 'social distancing' campaign at terminals and other multi-use facilities.
This campaign was organized to widely inform residents visiting multi-use facilities about the necessity of 'social distancing' and how to participate. The county distributed leaflets to residents detailing disinfection methods.
'Social distancing' is an infectious disease control strategy that minimizes contact between individuals or groups to reduce the spread of infectious diseases. Following the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters' guidelines, the county decided to strongly enforce 'social distancing' from the 22nd of this month until the 5th of next month and is currently focusing on its implementation.
Governor Yoo Doo-seok emphasized, "Until the 5th of next month, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, people should stay indoors as much as possible, and if going out is unavoidable, they must strictly adhere to personal hygiene such as wearing masks and hand sanitizing."
He added, "As cluster infections in multi-use facilities are increasing in other regions recently, we ask for active participation in 'social distancing.' The county will also do its best in quarantine efforts and in managing and supervising facilities at risk of infection."
Jangseong-gun is visiting PC rooms, academies, indoor sports, and entertainment facilities to check indoor quarantine conditions and recommend voluntary suspension of operations to practice social distancing. Additionally, nursing hospitals and facilities are being continuously monitored for compliance with administrative orders.
Furthermore, the county has hung 'social distancing' promotional banners at 20 locations within the region to raise awareness among residents.
