[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] Dr. Choi Sangmok, former First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, has been appointed as the new president of Nonghyup University.
On the 25th, the Nonghyup Central Association announced that Dr. Choi Sangmok was appointed as the new president of Nonghyup University through the Nonghyup Academy Board of Directors meeting held the previous day.

Graduating from Osan High School and Seoul National University Law School, and earning a Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University in the United States, the new president Choi Sangmok passed the 29th Administrative Examination in 1985 and entered public service. He served as Director of the Economic Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance and later as the First Vice Minister.
