Selected as Top 10 Dongjak Residents' Empathy Projects... Gold Award 'Dongjak 40th Anniversary, Dongjak Takes Flight'
Until the 29th, Residents Directly Vote on the Top 10 Major Projects of the 7th Elected Term via Homepage... Any Dongjak Residents Can Participate, Voting for Up to 4 Projects Per Person Regardless of Ranking
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Lee Chang-woo) is conducting a resident vote to select the ‘Top 10 Resident-Engaged Projects’ until the 29th.
This event was organized to commemorate 40 years of Dongjak, aiming to select projects that residents can feel in their daily lives, increase interest in district administration, and find the direction for the next 100 years of the district.
First, from the 17th of last month to the 6th of this month, the district collected staff opinions on key tasks of the 7th local government term, pledged projects, and excellent projects evaluated by external organizations, and through the project selection committee’s review, selected 16 projects for the resident vote.
The target projects include ▲ Jangseungbaegi Comprehensive Administrative Town ▲ Yongyang Bongjeojeong Tourism Attraction Project ▲ Traditional Market Revitalization Project ▲ Dongjak-gu Style Good Price Stores ▲ Noryangjin Youth Job Center ▲ Specialized Street Creation ▲ Dongjak Vocational Education Special Zone, which are projects responsible for Dongjak-gu’s future growth engines and revitalizing the local economy.
Projects for building a comprehensive welfare city include ▲ Childcare Center Project ▲ Customized Public Housing Supply ▲ Free Shuttle Bus Operation for Transportation Vulnerable Groups.
Resident life-oriented projects include ▲ Daily Collection System for Household Waste ▲ Installation of Visible Fire Extinguishers ▲ Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Project ▲ Operation of Children’s Water Playgrounds ▲ IoT Smart Walkway Creation ▲ Youth Overseas Homestay, totaling 16 projects.
Any Dongjak-gu resident can vote for up to 4 projects regardless of ranking to select the top 10 major projects of the 7th local government term.
Residents wishing to participate can visit the district office website (www.dongjak.go.kr → Participation & Communication → Resident Participation → Survey).
Also, last month, the district held a catchphrase contest to commemorate 40 years of Dongjak with residents.
A total of 182 people participated, and the final results selected ▲ Gold Prize: ‘Dongjak 40th Anniversary, Dongjak Takes Flight’ ▲ Silver Prize: ‘40 Years of Leap, Dongjak Opening the Future’ ▲ Bronze Prize: ‘Good Neighbors, Living Together in Dongjak’.
The selected top 10 major projects and catchphrases will be used for district administration promotion on the district website, major events, and other promotional materials and videos.
