Three Confirmed Cases Including 20s Woman Returning from UK Study in Yongin... 37 Cases in the Area (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] On the 23rd, three additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province.
According to Yongin City Hall, a 44-year-old woman living in Gorim-dong, Cheoin-gu, her 14-year-old son, and a 20-year-old woman living in Gomae-dong, Giheung-gu, were confirmed positive on the day.
The 20-year-old female confirmed case living in Gomae-dong is a student who studied in the UK and tested positive after returning to Korea on the 21st and undergoing a diagnostic test at the Giheung-gu Public Health Center screening clinic at 11 a.m. on the 22nd.
The 44-year-old female confirmed case and her teenage son are presumed to be family infections. The father (44) was confirmed positive first in a diagnostic test the previous day. The father reportedly experienced symptoms such as fever (38 degrees Celsius), cough, sputum, chills, and muscle pain starting from the 20th. Another child tested negative.
