Jeju Air Extends COVID-19 Prevention Work-from-Home Policy for 2 More Weeks
Former office staff work from home for 2 weeks... Only essential operation workers deployed
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Jeju Air announced on the 23rd that it will extend the work-from-home policy, which had been implemented for the past three weeks to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), for an additional two weeks.
Since the 1st of this month, Jeju Air has been conducting work-from-home for all employees except those necessary for flight operations and essential office staff for three weeks. However, considering that the next two weeks will be a critical turning point for the spread of COVID-19, the company decided to extend this policy until the 5th of next month.
Jeju Air especially plans to expand the scope of work-from-home to all office employees during the extended period. Accordingly, all in-house convenience facilities, including the cafeteria, will be closed. Only essential operational staff necessary for safe flight operations, such as those in flight operations, cabin crew, and maintenance, will remain on site.
