Bucheon-si Signs Agreement for 'Cultural Content Companies and Creators Crowdfunding'
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province has signed a business agreement with iPlus Center, which was selected for the 'Operation of Crowdfunding System for Cultural Content Companies and Creators' public contest project, to actively promote commercialization support policies targeting the entire cultural industry.
According to the city on the 23rd, this agreement aims to promote the industrialization of culture, one of the top 10 core projects of the 7th local government administration. Bucheon City will support crowdfunding registration and fees for companies and creators wishing to commercialize their ideas, and then promote follow-up investments by linking with the cultural content fund.
The selected iPlus Center plans to support the success of crowdfunding and attract venture investments by discovering companies seeking investment and marketing, providing professional business consulting, and hosting investment demo days.
The city plans to expand promotional activities and award excellent content to share achievements among cultural industry workers and activate exchanges.

Choi Seunghun, Director of the Cultural Economy Bureau of Bucheon City, said, "We expect that direct and indirect investments in companies and projects worth 2 billion KRW will be generated through this agreement," adding, "We will work together in the public and private sectors to ensure that content company investments and project marketing are actively carried out so that Bucheon City can become a culture city favorable for businesses."
