Gokseong-gun Holds Contest to Rediscover the Old Gokseong in Nature
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 20th that it will hold a photo contest titled ‘Finding the Old Gokseong in Nature’ until May 15.
The purpose of this contest is to discover hidden photographic materials to find the original form of Gokseong’s past and use them as resources to reexamine ecological restoration and natural cultural values.
The contest accepts old photos of Gokseong taken before the 2000s. Submissions can include works that provide a glimpse into the lives and culture of Gokseong residents, such as natural landscapes, daily life, and development.
Submitted photos will be internally reviewed, and awards will be given along with certificates. The prize money will be awarded in Gokseong Simcheong gift certificates: one grand prize worth approximately 500,000 KRW, two excellence awards worth approximately 300,000 KRW each, three encouragement awards worth approximately 100,000 KRW each, and ten honorable mentions worth approximately 50,000 KRW each.
To enter, applicants can download the application form from the Gokseong-gun Office website (http://www.gokseong.go.kr/) under the Announcement/Notice section (Gokseong-gun Announcement No. 2020-473) and submit it via email, mail, or in person.
