Gangnam-gu Public Library Launches Minimum Face-to-Face Reservation Loan Service 'Naeildream'
Smart Library Reopens: Visit for Pickup 2-5 PM Next Day After Weekly Tue-Sat Online Reservation
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) has been operating a reservation loan service called ‘Naeildream (dream)’ with minimal face-to-face contact since the 17th to minimize inconvenience to residents due to the temporary closure of district libraries.
All 24 Gangnam-gu public libraries have been fully closed since the 5th of last month to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. To ensure user convenience, the district is operating a reservation loan service that minimizes face-to-face contact while strictly adhering to ‘social distancing’ until official reopening.
Any regular member who has been issued a membership card at a public library can use the service at 10 public libraries including Dogok Information and Culture Library, excluding Yeoksam Library and Jeongdaun Library, which are currently under remodeling.
Applicants can reserve desired books on the website (library.gangnam.go.kr) from Tuesday to Saturday between 2 PM and 5 PM, then visit the library during the same hours the next day to pick up the books. The loan period is three weeks, and up to five books can be borrowed per person.
