On the morning of the 20th, the United Future Party held the '21st National Assembly Election Central Election Countermeasures Committee Launching Ceremony' at the National Assembly and pledged victory in the election.
The party's flagship overall election countermeasures committee chairman is Party Leader Hwang Kyo-ahn. Former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon has already been serving as the co-chairman of the Democratic Party's Standing Joint Election Countermeasures Committee and the COVID-19 National Crisis Overcoming Committee. The two candidates competing in Jongno each represent their parties and will lead the entire election at the forefront.
The United Future Party's joint election countermeasures committee consists of four members. Along with Leader Hwang, there are Floor Leader Shim Jae-cheol, former Innovation and Integration Promotion Committee Chairman Park Hyung-joon, and Professor Emeritus of Economics at Sookmyung Women's University Shin Se-don. Chairman Park is seen as having expansion potential toward the center due to his leadership in conservative unification, while Chairman Shin emphasizes an economic image. Representative Lee Jin-bok, who had declared he would not run, will serve as the overall election countermeasures headquarters chief and lead practical work.
The five regional chairpersons were also confirmed that day. Former Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon was appointed for the Seoul region, former Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, Supreme Council Member Jung Mi-kyung, and Representative Jung Byung-guk were selected for the Incheon-Gyeonggi region. Former Emergency Committee Chairman Kim Byung-joon will lead the election in the Chungcheong-Gangwon central region. Representative Kim Kwang-rim was appointed as the election countermeasures chairman for the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, and Representative Cho Kyung-tae for the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region.
Leader Hwang defined this general election as "an election to protect the backbone of the country and uphold the constitutional order." He said, "We stand at a crossroads between national ruin or restoration, freedom or oppression, prosperity or poverty, democracy or socialism. Do you want to continue living in such a country? The voters' choice will determine that fate," adding, "We must definitely judge this administration, which is like a frog in boiling water that does not feel fear even when hearing the siren of a great crisis."
Chairman Shin pledged to conduct the election campaign with the attitude of 'Gyeonwi Sumyeong (見危授命)' throughout, saying, "I will wear a black tie." He explained, "It means the mission to end the Moon administration and my own sacrifice," emphasizing, "After the election, I have prepared a pink tie. Let's work hard so that I can wear the pink tie again."
Chairman Park said, "This election will determine whether the Republic of Korea can go in the right direction or deviate from the track again," and stressed, "The United Future Party will humbly do its best to become a hopeful force responsible for Korea's future."

Meanwhile, the United Future Party continues to face nomination aftershocks. Kim Won-sung, a Supreme Council Member who was nominated for Bukgangseo-eul in Busan but had his nomination canceled due to a 'Me Too' allegation, reportedly left a post implying an extreme choice and disappeared that day. Alongside him, Representative Lee Eon-ju, who led the Future Forward 4.0 (Jeonjin Party), criticized, "Yesterday's decision raises many doubts about whether this party truly seeks to restore fairness in the process we have been shouting for," adding, "If we split at this crucial moment when we should unite, we may be ignored in the people's choice."
