Gyeongnam University to Conduct 'Online Remote Classes' Until April 10 to Prevent 'COVID-19'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gyeongnam National University announced on the 20th that it will extend 'remote classes' for an additional two weeks to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the local community and to prevent infection.
Accordingly, the online remote classes, which were originally scheduled to be held until the end of this month, have been extended until April 10.
The 'COVID-19 Infectious Disease Response Academic Operation Headquarters' at Gyeongnam National University explained that this decision was made to prevent infections within the university that could occur during face-to-face classes, following the Ministry of Education's additional postponement of elementary, middle, and high school openings and the occurrence of COVID-19 cluster infections.

Currently, Gyeongnam National University is closely monitoring and guiding freshmen during the first week of the semester by checking attendance and specially managing whether students who have not registered for classes will enroll. In addition, subjects that are difficult to conduct remotely, such as experiments, practical training, and skills, or subjects that require supplementary lessons after remote classes, will be operated by designating an autonomous supplementary period later.
