Seo Isuk "Taught Pansori Acting to Song Gain... Really Talented"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Actress Seo Yi-sook revealed a story about being the pansori acting teacher of singer Song Ga-in.
On the 19th, KBS 2TV's 'Happy Together 4' aired a special episode titled 'My Acting Class,' featuring Seo Yi-sook, Cha Cheong-hwa, Heo Seong-tae, Ha Do-kwon, and special MC Shin Ye-eun.
Making her first appearance on a variety show, Seo Yi-sook disclosed that she majored in gugak (traditional Korean music) and shared the story of teaching pansori acting to Song Ga-in. She said, "People who study gugak are naturally good singers. Song Ga-in had a lot of talent."
Seo Yi-sook said to Yoo Jae-suk, "You look tired these days," adding, "I thought that once you reach your position, you wouldn't have to do things you don't want to, but it seems like you do it out of old ties. You sing, learn cooking, and even learn instruments," which brought laughter.
When Yoo Jae-suk said, "Your pronunciation is as good as an announcer's," Jeon Hyun-moo also praised Seo Yi-sook's vocalization, saying, "You remind me of a former announcer chief."
Seo Yi-sook replied, "Since elementary school, I liked reading books, and if the pronunciation wasn't good, I couldn't hear well, so I disliked it." Yoo Jae-suk repeatedly complimented her, saying, "You could be a spokesperson for a political party. Your diction is really excellent."
