All international flights to and from Egypt suspended until the 31st
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Egypt has surpassed 200.
According to Al-Ahram and other foreign media on the 19th, the Egyptian Ministry of Health announced on the 18th (local time) that 14 additional COVID-19 cases were confirmed.
The additional confirmed cases, including two foreigners, were all found to have had contact with previously infected individuals. As a result, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Egypt has reached 210, with a total of 6 deaths due to COVID-19.
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Egyptian government has launched an all-out effort. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Egyptian government has simultaneously blocked the entry of foreigners and the departure of its citizens. Accordingly, all international flights to and from Egypt will be suspended until the 31st of this month.
