Yeosu-si Operates 'Side by Side, Side by Side Residents' Safe Restaurants' to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Yeosu City in Jeollanam-do is actively encouraging 140 exemplary restaurants in the area to participate in the ‘Narani Narani Residents' Safe Restaurant’ program by visiting each one individually to revitalize local restaurants struggling due to the spread and prolonged impact of COVID-19.
According to Yeosu City on the 19th, the designation and operation of ‘Narani Narani Residents' Safe Restaurant’ was established to alleviate the management difficulties faced by the dining industry and the public’s anxiety about using restaurants caused by the prolonged avoidance of dining out due to COVID-19.
To be designated as a ‘Residents' Safe Restaurant,’ establishments must provide hand sanitizer, disinfect the premises, arrange seating so that customers can sit side by side, and maintain a certain distance between tables as basic requirements.
Additionally, business owners and employees must wear masks, use individual side dishes, and focus on serving food onto personal plates.
To support the full operation of Residents' Safe Restaurants, the city has distributed disinfectants to participating businesses so that owners can disinfect on their own, and will also provide additional supplies such as sanitary masks, hand sanitizers, and sanitary gloves.
Currently, about 90 restaurants in Yeosu City are designated as Residents' Safe Restaurants, and their status can be confirmed by the ‘Narani Narani Residents' Safe Restaurant’ sticker displayed in visible places such as entrances.
