Nowon Police Station Arrests Man in His 30s for Assaulting Preliminary Candidate During Election Campaign

The Nowon Police Station in Seoul announced on the 19th that a man in his 30s, Mr. A, who assaulted Lee Namsu, the Justice Party preliminary candidate for Nowon District, was booked on charges of violating the Public Official Election Act. Mr. A is accused of assaulting the preliminary candidate and three campaign workers while they were campaigning at the Dangogae Station of Subway Line 4 around 7 p.m. the previous day, targeting citizens returning home from work.
