Gwachulhyup Donates 10 Million Won in COVID-19 Relief Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Junho] The Council of Heads of Science and Technology Research Institutes announced on the 19th that it has donated 10 million KRW to the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea to help overcome the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Kim Myung-jun, chairman of the Council, said, "We have united the intentions of science and technology research institutes to overcome this national crisis. We will continue to pool our research capabilities and efforts so that science and technology can play a vanguard role in the fight against disease."

The Council of Heads of Science and Technology Research Institutes is a consultative body established to promote discussion and mutual cooperation on common interests among government-funded research institutes in the science and technology sector. It was launched in 1994 and currently includes 50 government-funded research institutes participating from the Daedeok Research and Development Special Zone, Seoul, Gwangju, Sejong, and other regions.
