View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) announced on the 18th that the Daegu Regional Headquarters held an emergency countermeasure meeting to provide rapid support for companies affected by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The countermeasure meeting was held at the regional headquarters located in Buk-gu, Daegu, with 12 attendees including Acting Chairman Jo Jeong-gwon of SBC, the head of the Daegu Regional Headquarters, and department heads from Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions.
They closely examined the damage status of small and medium ventures located in the special disaster areas of Daegu and Gyeongbuk (Daegu, Gyeongsan, Cheongdo, Bonghwa) and checked the difficulties faced. Emergency support measures were discussed to overcome the regional economic crisis at an early stage.
After the emergency countermeasure meeting, Acting Chairman Jo Jeong-gwon visited the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Training Center, which is being used as a treatment facility for mild patients, to encourage the personnel involved.

View original imageSBC has so far injected an additional 220 billion KRW in emergency funds into the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions affected by COVID-19. To provide rapid financial support to affected companies, personnel from the headquarters are being dispatched to the Daegu and Gyeongbuk areas.
In addition, the scope of applicants for funding has been expanded to all industries for support. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection and ensure rapid support, non-face-to-face evaluations have been introduced, simplifying the screening procedures.
