Foreign Worker Confirmed Positive for COVID-19 in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] One foreign worker in Gyeongsan, Gyeongbuk, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Gyeongsan City on the 18th, the worker, a Pakistani national, had been working at a fabric manufacturing company until the 14th.
He underwent a specimen test to obtain a 'COVID-19 test certificate' before boarding a flight back to Pakistan on the 16th, and was not allowed to board the plane that day. Subsequently, he tested positive on the 17th and is currently waiting to be admitted to a living treatment center.
