Jeong Ji-so Proves Presence Through Drama 'Bubang' Following Film 'Parasite'
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Actress Jung Ji-so proved her presence with the drama "The Cursed."
In the final episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama "The Cursed," which aired on the 17th, a fierce battle between Jung Ji-so (playing Baek So-jin) and Sung Dong-il (playing Jin Jong-hyun) was depicted.
In that episode, Sung Dong-il, part of the "Evil Spirit Community," held a large-scale shamanistic ritual with shamans from around the world. Jung Ji-so, along with Um Ji-won (playing Im Jin-hee), infiltrated the Forest IPO site.
At the site, Jung Ji-so and Um Ji-won discovered numerous trees with lists hanging in the Forest Curse Forest. When Um Ji-won asked about these trees, Jung Ji-so replied, "I don't know." Later, Jung Ji-so noticed that the security guards at the Forest site recognized her.
Jung Moon-sung (playing Jung Sung-joon), having grasped the truth of the incident, headed to the Forest IPO site with the police. At that moment, Jung Ji-so watched the ritual site and began to "method" Sung Dong-il (a curse that causes a person's limbs to contract painfully). Sung Dong-il expressed pain, and the shamans nearby also felt pain and collapsed.
However, a Japanese Taoist blocked Jung Ji-so's method, and the evil spirit inside Sung Dong-il moved to the Forest. Consequently, people tagged in the Curse Forest began to be cursed. Unable to bear it, Um Ji-won told Jung Ji-so, "Curse me." But Jung Ji-so said, "I can't curse my sister," adding, "I'm connected to the evil spirit. I will hold onto this evil spirit forever," and then collapsed. Inugami, who moved into the Curse Forest, entered Jung Ji-so's body.
The people who had been cursed recovered to their original state, and Sung Dong-il ultimately met his death by the fire attached to his body.
One month later, the Forest IPO was canceled, and the news reported Sung Dong-il's death. Jung Ji-so was lying in a hospital bed, and Um Ji-won stayed by her side, crying.
