Inha University Supports Early-Stage Startups in Gyeongin Region... 25 Companies to Be Selected by Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Inha University is helping stabilize and grow startups that have been in business for less than three years.
Inha University announced on the 18th that it has been selected as the lead institution for the Gyeongin region under the "Early Startup Package" supported by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
This project is a comprehensive program designed to help companies with promising startup ideas and advanced technologies smoothly enter and grow in the market. There are a total of nine lead institutions in the Gyeongin region, including Inha University.
The Inha University Startup Support Group will manage this project for three years until February 2023. They plan to select a total of 25 startup companies by next month, with more than 70% chosen from the Incheon and Gyeonggi regions.
Starting in May, a specialized program will be operated to actively support companies. As mandatory programs, they will run a "Startup Item Verification" course to evaluate market potential and an "Early Startup Support" course to assist with marketing, financial accounting, intellectual property protection, certifications, and more.
Additionally, specialized programs such as the Michuhol (Meet U All) program supporting early startups, the Biryong Investment Attraction program for fundraising, the Gyeongin Regional Hub program for networking with experts and the local community, and practical startup education will be added.
In collaboration with Enas Co., Ltd., a prototype production specialist company, they will jointly operate a maker space providing free access to devices, equipment, and space.
