Additional COVID-19 Case Confirmed Among Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Staff... Sejong Total Rises to 41 (Update)
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] An additional COVID-19 case has been confirmed at the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in the Government Sejong Complex, where a large number of new coronavirus infections recently occurred.
On the 17th, Sejong City announced that a male Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries employee in his 50s, residing in Surubae Village Complex 1, Bangok-dong, tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day.
The employee initially tested negative in the first round of mass testing for all staff but was later confirmed positive after visiting a screening clinic with a fever symptom that morning.
According to Sejong City, the employee has been under self-quarantine since the 12th and is believed to have had no close contacts.
