'Hwang Bo-seung-hee Wins Busan Primary Amid "Sacheon Controversy"... Ha Tae-gyeong and Na Dong-yeon Also Advance to General Election'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Hwang Bo-seung-hee, former Chair of the Economic and Cultural Committee of the Busan City Council, who sparked controversy over 'sacheon' involving former Future United Party Nomination Committee Chair Kim Hyung-o, won the United Party primary election in Busan Jung-Yeongdo District. Additionally, Ha Tae-kyung won in Haeundae-gu Gap, and Na Dong-yeon, former mayor of Yangsan, won in Yangsan, Gyeongnam.
The United Party Nomination Committee announced the results of the primaries and nominations for the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions on the 17th, including these outcomes.
In Daejeon Yuseong-gu Eul, Kim So-yeon, former member of the Daejeon City Council, was recommended as the sole candidate. Initially, Kim was set to compete against Shin Yong-hyun in this district, but the court ruled to cancel Shin's 'self-expulsion,' putting Shin's primary process on hold. Lee Seok-yeon, Vice Chair of the Nomination Committee, stated, "According to Article 42, Paragraph 2 of the Political Parties Act, dual party membership is fundamentally prohibited, so all statuses related to the United Party are nullified and reset to zero," adding, "thus, Kim was recommended as the sole candidate."
