[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Chang-woo Lee) announced on the 17th that it will operate youth reporters from May to August to build an online platform for the Vocational Education Special Zone.
The Vocational Education Special Zone online platform is a job linkage service that provides personalized content such as employment guides, study groups, and other job-related education, as well as recruitment information, to job seekers.
First, from the 20th to the 26th, 10 youth reporters (2 per team, a total of 5 teams) will be recruited.
Applicants must be unemployed youth aged 18 to 39 residing in the area, proficient in article writing, image content production, and SNS usage.
In particular, those with experience as YouTube channel operators, citizen reporters, or in related fields will be given preference.
Residents who wish to participate can submit their application form, self-produced image content, and career certificates in person to the Job Policy Division or via email (camuszzang@dongjak.go.kr).
The district will make the final selection through a separate screening committee based on ▲expertise ▲problem-solving ability ▲responsibility and leadership ▲basic attitude.
Selected reporters will perform tasks such as ▲planning and editing specialized project articles for the Vocational Education Special Zone ▲producing story-centered promotional content through SNS ▲completing the Vocational Education Special Zone map through community mapping ▲conducting demand and satisfaction surveys for the Vocational Education Special Zone.
Additionally, various benefits will be provided, including an activity allowance of up to 450,000 KRW per month, selection and rewards for outstanding teams, and one-on-one individual counseling necessary for employment and entrepreneurship.
In January, the district promoted the Vocational Education Special Zone project by piloting youth reporters linked with winter vacation university student part-time jobs.
Jin-hee Jo, head of the Job Policy Division, said, “We hope that various content will be produced through this project and that Dongjak’s Vocational Education Special Zone will be widely known,” adding, “We look forward to the participation of many talented and interested youth.”
