[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] A woman in her 90s who tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) at Pureun Nursing Home in Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongbuk, has died, raising the total number of COVID-19 deaths in South Korea to 83.
According to Gyeongbuk Province on the 17th, Ms. A (97, female) passed away at 2:45 a.m. at Gimcheon Medical Center due to worsening pneumonia symptoms.
Ms. A was diagnosed with COVID-19 during a mass screening at Pureun Nursing Home on the 5th and had been hospitalized and treated at Gimcheon Medical Center. She suffered from dementia as an underlying condition.
