Citibank, "5% Cashback When You Swipe at Online Merchants"
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] Korea Citibank announced on the 17th that it will hold an online merchant cashback event for customers using the 'Citi Master Check Card.'
During the event period, which lasts until the 17th of next month, customers who spend more than 100,000 KRW at domestic online merchants using the Citi Master Check Card will receive 5% cashback on their spending, up to a maximum of 30,000 KRW. The eligible check cards include three products: Citi Global Wallet Check Card, Citi Cashback Check Card, and Citi Shinsegae Plus Check Card. The event is available to customers who register for participation on Citibank's event page.
A Citibank representative stated, “As customers nowadays prefer safe and convenient online shopping or payments, we prepared this event to support that.”

Additionally, during the same period, a new card issuance event is being held where customers who newly issue a Citi Global Wallet Check Card and spend more than 50,000 KRW during the period will receive a 10,000 KRW mobile gift certificate for CU convenience stores. Upon registering for the event and meeting the gift certificate issuance conditions, the gift certificate will be provided as a mobile coupon. However, customers who already owned a Citi Global Wallet Check Card before the event period are not eligible, and family cards or family card spending are not included in the event conditions.
